Description
The Seven Chakras
The chakra system is an ancient Indian belief system comprised of seven energy centres located along the spine. The word “chakra” comes from the Sanskrit language and literally means “wheel” – a reference to these rotating vortices or focal points that have been assigned specific vibrations.
These seven distinct chakras represent various aspects of our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being, providing us with information about ourselves on many different levels. Each one influences every other aspect, and when fully open can create balance throughout all aspects of our lives. When blocked or imbalanced they can be seen as barriers to achieving a harmonious state.
